About Roger P. Cox

Roger has over 40 years of experience in representing and counseling clients, including hundreds of individuals, as well as business entities, municipalities, and other political subdivisions. In his law practice, Roger has always maintained an active focus on serving individuals in divorce and child custody cases.

Roger’s legal experience spans a broad range of matters, including cases involving family law, civil litigation, breach of contact matters, municipal law, public utility law, commercial law, employment disputes, construction law, personal injury and products liability claims, defamation claims, property law, and patent litigation.

Roger has represented clients in litigation at both the trial and appellate levels in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies.

Roger has extensive experience in complex litigation matters, including lawsuits and administrative proceedings involving multi-million commercial disputes, public utility rate-setting matters, commercial utility rate overcharge claims, and construction law cases.

Roger served as private counsel to over 90 Nebraska municipalities with respect to natural gas rate-setting matters prior to 2007 when natural gas rates in Nebraska were regulated directly by municipalities. When natural gas utility regulation was subsequently centralized under the jurisdiction of the Nebraska Public Service Commission in 2007, Roger was appointed to the position of the Nebraska Public Advocate to represent the interests of natural gas customers in proceedings before the Public Service Commission and Nebraska courts. Roger served as the Nebraska Public Advocate through 2013, while also continuing with his private law practice.
